$300,000 Ogden Phipps Stakes
Race 9 on a 10-race card at Belmont Park is a 1 1/16 mile stakes race on a dirt track. There are six four-year-old and upward filly and mare starters in the field. Point of Honor and Ollie’s Candy lead the way on the morning line at odds of 2-1 and 8-5 respectively.
$100,000 Louisville Stakes
The final event on an 11-race card at Churchill Downs is a 1 1/2 mile affair on turf. This one has a dozen four-year-old and upward runners set to take off. Kentucky-bred starter Arklow leads the way at 8-5, followed by Admission Office at 3-1.
$100,000 Thor’s Echo Handicap
Race 6 on a 9-race card at Santa Anita Park five three-year-old and upward California horses do battle over six furlongs on a dirt track. Desert Law gets the nod at 6-5 in what shapes up to be a tight field with the lowest odds set at 6-1.
$100,000 Woodstock Stakes
Race 7 on an 11-race card at Woodbine Race Track is six furlongs on an all weather track for eight three-year-old and upward starters. Florida-bred Entitled is the morning line favorite at 5-2, followed by Ontario-bred Clayton at odds of 3-1.
$100,000 Star Shoot Stakes
Race 8 at Woodbine is also six furlongs on an all weather track, but this one has 10 three-year-old filly starters scheduled to run. Kentucky-bred New York Groove is the favorite at 5-2, followed by Ontario-bred Owlette at 3-1.
